June 24 – Webinar (PMI) – Contemporary Issues in PM Maturity

15 juin

Organizational Project Management
Community of Practice

OPM3 par PMIDr. Beverley Pasian BA (Hons), M.A. (ODE), DPM, an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands and Dr Nigel L. Williams, a Senior Lecturer in Project Management in the Business Systems Department at the University of Bedfordshire are giving a second Masterclass on Organizational Project Management. Announced as a Surprise session, we had already 860 registers, recognizing the top level presenters. And here is the final title for this session:

« Contemporary Issues in PM Maturity » 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM CET/France on June 24th

The conceptual and modularization of project management maturity models is based on the principle of process control. This research was designed to challenge these boundaries to reveal non-process factors. Using two case studies of university projects, the findings indicate that mature undefined projects require non process factors such as: increased customer involvement and a more adaptable organizational environment that enables trust, positive attitude and team motivation.

We conclude by discussing how a “big data” approach can support future research into non process areas by uncovering the nature and extent interactions within organizations that underpin project activities.
