EnergyVille is an association of the Flemish research institutes KU Leuven, VITO and imec in the field of sustainable energy and intelligent energy systems.
Its researchers provide expertise to industry and public authorities on energy-efficient buildings and intelligent networks for a sustainable urban environment. This includes, for example, smart grids and advanced district heating and cooling.

Managing Demonstration Projects to support Research‘
Wim Cardinaels (Project manager) will facilitate a demonstration projects attempt to be first of a kind implementations. Their ambition is to bring innovative concepts to real life in order to find-out how much impact the concept can generate, what kind of unforeseen issues raise and how it affects research roadmaps. This presentation will cover the approach, challenges and results of the Linear and SmarThor project.
